This Privacy Policy explains how Opengreencard LLC ("Opengreencard," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Opengreencard helps users upload documents, enter information, and generate immigration-related forms, packet materials, and PDFs, with an initial focus on marriage-based green card and adjustment-of-status workflows.

We may collect the following categories of information:

Information You Provide Directly

  • account details, such as your name, email address, and login credentials or authentication-related details;
  • profile information and answers you provide in questionnaires, workflows, and form-preparation tools;
  • uploaded files and supporting documents, including PDFs, scans, photos, and other materials you choose to submit;
  • communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback.

  • IP address, timestamps, referring pages, and usage activity;

Sensitive Information

Because of the nature of the Service, information you provide may include sensitive personal information or documents, such as immigration history, family information, identity documents, addresses, travel details, employment history, and other information relevant to immigration form preparation. Please submit only the information you want us to process for the Service.

2. How We Use Information

  • create, maintain, and secure your account;
  • provide the Service and generate forms, PDFs, and related outputs;
  • process uploaded documents and responses so the Service can organize and populate immigration materials;
  • communicate with you about your account, updates, support requests, and operational notices;
  • monitor usage, detect abuse, investigate suspicious activity, and protect the Service;
  • troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and develop new features;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

  • our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service;

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

Our current retention approach is generally as follows:

  • account and application data: while your account is active and for up to twenty-four (24) months after your last activity;
  • deletion requests: once we verify the request by email, we aim to delete applicable personal information promptly;
  • backup systems: deleted data may remain in backup copies for up to fourteen (14) days before those backups rotate out;
  • security and audit logs: up to twelve (12) months;
  • session recordings: up to three (3) months;
  • general analytics and product metrics: these may be retained for longer periods, including indefinitely, to help us understand product usage and improve the Service.

Actual retention periods may vary where needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention, incident investigation, enforcing our agreements, or protecting the security and integrity of the Service.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of personal information, subject to legal and operational exceptions;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;

We do not sell personal information, and we do not currently believe we engage in "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable California law.

If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Where required, we use reasonable safeguards for cross-border transfers.

No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
